Inspired by the work of Georges Perec, we documented the movements around the canal over an extended period, capturing every motion, whether it be cars, bicycles, or even ducks.
Armed with two cameras, we observed for five hours, then reworked the images in black and white, isolating the movements through color to better highlight them. Our goal was to create a taxonomy of flows by organizing the images according to a chronological grid, somewhat like a frame-by-frame film. The final installation, displayed on a door with the island in the background, reflects the slow temporality of the canal and the various flows it generates.
